Request for Bids
The City of Lockhart is receiving bids until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2012, at City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio Street, for the following;
To trim trees at locations specified away from 7200 volt primary lines, 220 volt residential secondary services and commercial
businesses services, to a minimum of three feet (3 ft) unless approved by the Electric Superintendent. The contractor must provide sufficient signage, supervision, 3 personnel, reliable equipment, at least a 55 ft bucket truck and any required materials to trim, clean all saw blades before next tree cut, paint, chip limbs and clean up areas. Contractors must find a stationery site to park equipment and place materials if needed. Contractor must provide proof of general liability insurance and workers’ compensation insurance naming the City of Lockhart as a co-insured entity. Contractor shall follow Ansi A Standard rules.
Bid package may be picked up at City Hall located at 308 West San Antonio Street during normal business hours.
Bids may be mailed or delivered to 308 West San Antonio St., Lockhart, and Tx. 78644. Envelopes containing bids should be externally marked “Tree Trimming”. Bids not received by the stated date and time above will be returned unopened. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

Bid Notice
Lockhart ISD is accepting proposals for E-RATE eligible Cellular Services for funding year 15. These proposals are posted on the USAC website under schools and library programs per E-RATE requirements. For the proposal package, please contact Tanya Homann at 512-398-0052 or fax 512-398-0031. The proposals are due Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at 2 PM. CST at Attn: Tanya Homann, Lockhart ISD, P.O. Box 120, Lockhart, TX 78644. No faxed or emailed proposals will be accepted. Lockhart ISD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.

ORDINANCE 2011-25
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOCKHART, TEXAS, ORDERING A RUN-OFF ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF LOCKHART, TEXAS, ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2011 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A COUNCILMEMBER TO DISTRICT NUMBER FOUR OF THE CITY OF LOCKHART CITY COUNCIL FOR A TERM OF THREE YEARS; PROVIDING POLLING PLACES; PROVIDING FOR HOURS OF EARLY VOTING; PROVIDING FOR THE USE OF PAPER BALLOTS; PROVIDING FOR PROPER NOTICE AND SUCH OTHER ASPECTS AS ARE INCIDENTAL AND RELATED TO THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at 7:00 P.M. in the Glosserman Room at City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public comments regarding a proposed ordinance amending Section 64-197(g)(1), Chapter 64 “Zoning”, of the Lockhart Code of Ordinances, to allow an alternative surface to be used in lieu of an all-weather surface where a new driveway or expansion of a driveway serving an existing single-family or duplex dwelling is needed to accommodate one or more vehicles otherwise being parked in a yard area not originally intended as a driveway, and to add standards for the composition of permitted alternative surfaces in general.
The City of Lockhart City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at 7:30 PM in the Glosserman Room at City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to consider this zoning text amendment, public comments, and the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
All interested persons wishing to state their support or opposition may do so at either of these public hearings; or they may submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission and/or City Council before the time the public hearing begins. PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Lockhart Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at 7:00 P.M. in the lower level of City Hall, 308 West San Antonio Street, Lockhart, Texas, to receive public input regarding the following:
ZC-11-06. A request by Executive Director Carole Belver on behalf of Community Action for a Zoning Change from IL Industrial Light District to CLB Commercial Light Business District on 0.862 acres in the Cornelius Crenshaw League & Labor, Abstract No. 68, located at 1808 West San Antonio Street (SH 142).
All interested persons owning property within 200 feet of this property wishing to state their support or opposition must do so at this Public Hearing; or they must submit a written statement to the City Planner or his designee for presentation to the Planning and Zoning Commission at or before the time the Public Hearing begins.
In the event that property owners should desire to protest the action of the Planning and Zoning Commission, they must: (1) file their written protest with the City Secretary on or before five days prior to the Public Hearing before the City Council; and, (2) the written protest must be signed and acknowledged by the owners of at least 20 percent of the land included in the proposed change, or by owners of at least 20 percent of the land area within a 200-foot radius of the boundary of the proposed change. To be a valid protest, both conditions (1) and (2) above must be met or the petition will be rejected.
The City of Lockhart City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at 7:30 PM in the lower level of City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio, Lockhart, Texas, to consider this zoning change request, the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and valid protests if any.
