Hopkins “Hank” Henry Haden, III

Hank Haden, resident of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 13, after a long battle with Parkinson”s disease.

Hank was born July 24, 1942, in Galveston, Texas. He attended high school in Texas City, where he lived with his parents, Hopkins Henry Haden, Jr., and Lois Noble Haden. Hank graduated from North Texas State in Denton, Texas, and was the owner of DMSI,

a commercial real estate company. He was a former President of the National Council of Exchangors and a member of the Society of Exchange Counselors.

Hank is survived by his wife, Diann Haden; his brother, Noble Haden; his sister, Nancy Haden and Peggy and Randy Yates.

Hank is also survived by his three children and their spouses: Hoppy and Linda Haden, of Lockhart, Jake and Melissa Haden, of Willis, and Holly Sparkman, of Austin, along with his step-daughter and her spouse, Kimberley and Matthew Wilcox. Hank was a role model for his grandsons: Zachary, Daniel, Blake, Dan, Joshua, Cody, Jackson, James and John and granddaughters: Kelsi, Sandy, Sarah, Demi and Sarah. He is also survived by his nieces, Faith Sackett and Laurie Haden Worsham, and his nephew, Noble Haden, Jr. Hank also leaves behind many lifelong friends.

The life of Hopkins “Hank” Henry Haden, III, depicts an adventurous, independent and competitive spirit. His sense of humor and positive outlook on life kept him, and everyone around him, smiling. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012, at Forest Park Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384, followed by a wake from 1 – 3 p.m. at Papa”s Icehouse, 314 Pruitt Road, Spring, Texas 77380.
