Edna Wahl
Edna Wahl, 105, passed away on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at her home in Austin, Texas. She was born on May 8, 1907, in Niederwald, Texas to William and Millie (Schmidt) Schaefer and was a lifelong member of Trinity United Church, Niederwald, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Willie Wahl; her two sisters, Welsora Dressen and Roma Ehrlich; and thre
e brothers, Elmer Schaefer, Nolan Schaefer and Florin Schmidt.
Edna is survived by her son, John Wahl and wife, Alma; daughter, Marlene Wahl, grandchildren: Johanna Eades and husband, Robert, Billy Wahl, and Annette Pike and husband, Mickey; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Geddes and wife, Cindy, Kati Pike and Kevin Pike, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at noon on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville, Texas, and funeral services followed at 1 p.m. with Pastor Carla Cheatham officiating.
The family would like express their gratitude for the wonderful people who have taken such good care of her these last few years.
She will be missed by her family and all who knew her. She had a wonderful long life and died peacefully at her home.
