Abel Gonzalez

Abel Gonzalez, 71, of Dale, passed away peacefully in Kyle, Texas, on Monday, April 9, 2012. Abel was born Dec. 1, 1940, to Higinio and Luz Martinez Gonzalez in Bayview, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Israel Gonzalez; and sons, Abel Arredondo and David Cisneros.

Abel is survived by his loving wife, Antonia; three daughters, Linda Howard, Lisa Talama

ntez and Pearl Orozco; sister, Aurora Orive; brothers, David Gonzalez, Luis Gonzalez, Adan Gonzalez, Cain Gonzalez, Ildifonso “Poncho” Gonzalez and Rodolfo “Roy” Gonzalez; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held Wednesday, April 11 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 12, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Eeds Funeral Home.

Serving as the pallbearers were: David Talamantez, David Talamantez, Jr., Antonio Orozco, Daniel Gonzalez, Adan Gonzalez, Jr., and Joel Gonzalez. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Abel’s six brothers: David, Luis, Adan, Cain, Poncho and Roy.
