Hertha Allyne Pippus
Allyne (Alex) Pippus passed away on May 9, 2015, in Santa Rosa, Calif., hospital following a short illness.
Allyne was born March 3, 1931, in Luling, Texas. She graduated from Lockhart High School in 1949. She married Charles Pippus in 1950, while he was stationed at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Texas.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles “Pip” Pippu
s, of Petaluma, Calif., the couple’s home for 60 years; daughter, Margie (Paul) Matzen, of Rohnert Park, Calif.; son, Chuck (Nadia) Pippus of Jordan Valley, Ore.; two grandsons, Chris Pippus, and Eric (Christina) Matzen; and three great-granddaughters, Lorelai and Annabeth Matzen, and Paige Pippus; former daughter in law, Alicia Brunetti, of California; sister, Lillian Pfefferkorn, brother, Melvin Alex, both of Lockhart, Texas, and sister-in-law, Annie Alex, of Niederwald; as well as and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Richard Pippus; sisters, Anita Alex and Imelda Bailey; and brother, Bill Alex.
Allyne was a long time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Petaluma, Calif.
