Anna G. Kubena

Anna G. Kubena, 78, of Lockhart, passed away peacefully at her home. She was born on Oct. 5, 1928 in Houston, Texas to Jack and Elma (Brown) Gress.
She was a member of St. Mary”s Catholic Church of String Prairie, Texas.
Mrs. Kubena is survived by her husband, Del Kubena whom she married on Jan. 18, 1964 in Houston. She is also survived by her son, Daniel Kubena

and wife, Patti of Elgin, Texas; daughter, Diana Kubena Burton and husband, Johnny of New Caney, Texas; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary was at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007 at McCurdy Funeral Home. Mass was conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard, Texas with Father Don Ruppert officiating. Interment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery.
