Arturo Jesus Martinez

Mr. Arturo Jesus Martinez, 55, of Lockhart, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007. He was born Dec. 30, 1951.
Mr. Martinez is survived by his mother, Estella Martinez; sisters, Delia Delgado (Robert) sisters, Delia Delgado (Robert), Carol Cobb (Robert) and Mary Alice Galvan (Carl), Victoria Martinez; and brothers, Thomas Martinez, Jr. (Bertha), Albert Martinez (Belia), a

nd Guadalupe Martinez.
Recitation of the rosary was at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, 2007 at the DeLeon Funeral Home. Funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at St. Mary”s Catholic Church. Burial followed in St. Mary”s Cemetery.

Eron Mendez, Sr.
Mr. Eron Mendez, Sr., 81, of Lockhart, passed away Nov. 19, 2007. He was born on Oct. 2, 1926.
Mr. Mendez is survived by his daughters, Virginia Vasquez (Raul), Mary Alice Moreno (Miguel), Yolanda Llamas (Juan), Mary C. Ortiz and Dolores Munoz (Pedro); sons, Eron Mendez, Jr. (Dora), Ruben Mendez, Sr., Oscar Mendez, Sr., Hector Mendez (Amy); sisters Manuela Serna, Rosa Ortiz and Frances Cordon; brothers, Alvino Mendez, Robert Mendez, Pablo Mendez and Delfino Mendez; 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the rosary was at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 at the DeLeon Funeral Home. Funeral mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007 at the DeLeon Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Lockhart City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Fabian Gonzalez, Mike Mendez, Mario Ortiz, Jr., Oscar Mendez, Jr., Brian Dean Mendez and Michael Barber.
