Astin Lee Melton

Astin Lee Melton, age 9 months and 8 days, died in his mother’s arms at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas on Jan. 24, 2014. After struggling with severe lung and heart complications, little Astin fought valiantly until our Heavenly Father gathered him in his arms and took him Home.

Astin is the son of William and Margret Melton, of Austin, Texas. Astin was

an extremely happy baby who was always smiling and loved playing with his favorite toys, a little yellow plastic wrench and a green ball. Everyone who met Astin always commented on his beautiful long eyelashes and when he smiled at you he would melt your heart. His giggles and laughs were infectious and he liked to have his little feet tickled and kissed.

Astin was a gift from the Lord and will be missed dearly, always loved and never be forgotten.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at First Lockhart Baptist Church in Lockhart, with services following at 2 p.m., with Rev. Gary Rodgers officiating. Interment to follow.

2 Tim 4: 6-8 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is just not for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his glorious return.

We Love you Son, it is only good bye for a short while until we are united in the Kingdom of Heaven.
