Street Worker
The City of Lockhart is accepting applications for the position of Street Worker. Applications may be obtained at City Hall, 308 W. San Antonio St., in the Personnel Department, during normal business hours or at www.lockhart-tx.org .
Applicants must possess a valid Texas Driver’s license; must have a good driving record; Applicant must live within 25 minutes of City Limits of Lockhart for timely response to public emergencies. Experience performing all types of street repairs preferred; operates one or more equipment items for street repairs/maintenance; street markings/painting; drives brush truck and operates brush chipper; cuts brush; sign installation/repairs; fence repairs/installations; works at recycling center occasionally; other labor tasks; and drives dump trucks.
Successful applicant must pass post offer physical. At times, this position requires working before and after normal work hours. The starting wage is $12.67 hr. depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid holidays; vacation/sick leave benefits and membership in the Texas Municipal Retirement System.

Water/Wastewater System Operator
The City of Lockhart is accepting applications for Water/Wastewater System Operator. Prefer experience in construction of water and sewer utilities, mechanical abilities, operate various types of equipment; dump truck, sewer pressure washing equipment, sewer main video camera, water main tapping tools, underground bore equipment. Must be available for on call duty and be able to respond within 25 minutes to the call site or warehouse. The applicant shall have a High School Diploma or GED, valid Texas Drivers License, possess or obtain within 18 months of employment water/wastewater license from Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
