Courts order five to spend time in state custody

Caldwell County courts ordered five offenders to spend time in the Texas prison system last week. The courts returned a variety of sentences, ranging in severity from probation to Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) institutional placement.
Those sentenced from Nov. 8-12 were:
Russell Spencer, Jr., who
plead guilty to the felony offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Spencer was sentenced to four years probation.
Kenneth Johnson plead guilty to two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault. Johnson was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication probation on the first count and eight years in the TDCJ Institutional Division for the second count.
Rudolfo Guerrero plead guilty to the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated – Subsequent Offense. He was sentenced to six years in the TDCJ Institutional Division.
David Ramirez plead guilty to the felony offense of Forgery. Ramirez received five years” probation.
Thomas Brite plead guilty to the felony offense of Evading Arrest with Vehicle. He was sentenced to four years deferred adjudication probation.
Pete Torres plead guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Torres was sentenced to one year in the TDCJ State Jail Division.
Jose Hernandez plead guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation. He was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication probation.
Stonee B. Williams plead guilty to two counts of the felony offense of Endangering a Child and two counts of the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated with Chi1d Passenger . Williams was sentenced to two years in the TDCJ State Jail Division on those offenses. He also plead true to violating his probation on an Injury to a Child charge and was sentenced to four years in the TDCJ Institutional Division.
