Pastor Cutberto Briseño Salas, a beloved spiritual leader and beacon of faith in his community, who passed away on April 12, 2024, due to illness, in the comfort of his own home in Buda, Texas.

Pastor Cutberto Briseño was born to Leopoldo Briseño and Ester Salas. He was survived by his beloved wife Eva Torres De Briseño. Whom he spent 50 years of marriage with. He was also survived by 7 children, 27 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Pastor Cutberto Briseño had an amazing calling on his life and was blessed in many aspects. He pursued his passion for theology in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, where he studied and deepened his commitment and passion to sharing the word of God.

Throughout his distinguished career as an evangelist, missionary, and a pastor. Pastor Cutberto Briseño touched countless lives with his funny, wise, and faith-filled sermons. He had an infectious enthusiasm for preaching, and his voice, often raised in song, became a source of inspiration and comfort for people he ministered.

His interests extended beyond the pulpit; Pastor Cutberto Briseño was an avid lover of music and singing, which he often incorporated into his ministry to elevate the spirits of those around him. Indeed, it was his belief that song could open hearts to the divine word of God. You would often find him and his beloved wife singing songs at every gathering and church event they would attend. If you were ever at their home, you would’ve been blessed by their humor and good old apostolic coritos.

Pastor Cutberto Briseño’s wisdom often shone through his humor, making his guidance and teachings accessible and endearing to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He lived out his faith in every aspect of his life, becoming a living testament to the power of a faith-filled life.

Though he has left our earthly congregation, the legacy of Pastor Cutberto Briseño will continue to resonate in the lives of those he served, and in the community, he loved so dearly. His memory will be a blessing and a guiding light for generations to come.

We bid farewell to a man who was truly an embodiment of spiritual devotion. Pastor Cutberto Briseño will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he has profoundly impacted. May he rest in peace and may his teachings and preachings live on.
