Delaina Lynn Ellison
Delaina Lynn Ellison, 37, passed away Jan. 10, 2013, in Austin, Texas.
Delaina was born the eighth child to Eugene and Mattie Ellison on Aug. 22, 1975, in Lockhart, Texas. She graduated from Lockhart High School. She was a member of the Dale Church of God in Christ, Dale, Texas.
She was an usher and coordinator for the praise dancers.
She loved music. She also loved to
watch movies and sports.
Delaina loved the LA Lakers and she loved animals. She enjoyed hanging out with family and friends.
Delaina was a professional caregiver. Her last career opportunity was with FeCare Inc., as a Direct Care Staffer.
Her mother and one sister preceded her in death.
Delaina leaves to cherish her precious memory her spouse, Jesse Lee Scott, Jr.; daughters, Jazzmine Reanee” Ellison, Aundria Michelle Ellison and Valencia Tamra Ellison, all of Austin; father, Eugene Ellison, Sr., of Dale; brothers, Eugene Ellison, Jr., James Ellison and Anthony Ellison, all of Dale; sisters, Phyllis Ellison, of Dale, Lisa Ellison, of Lockhart, and Rebecca Ellison, of Dallas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
A visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, from noon – 5 p.m. at Eeds Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2012, beginning at 1 p.m., with Reverend Joshua Harper officiating. Burial followed at Dale Memorial Cemetery.
Serving as the pallbearers were Deon Ellison, Dewayne Ellison, Darrell Ellison, James Ellison, Jr., Marlon Ellison, Jarrod Ellison, Darrius Roberson and Breyan Harper. Serving as the honorary pallbearers were Joshua Harper, James Sorrells Jr., Eddie Arnold, Alex Tristan and Terrance Roberson.
All arrangements were with Eeds Funeral Home, 408 S. Main St., Lockhart, Texas 78644.
