Domingo Vega
Domingo S. Vega, of Lockhart, passed away to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 8, 2014. He was born on July 2, 1933, to Bonafacio and Antonia Sauceda in Luling, Texas.
Domingo is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Juan and Martin Vega; his beloved wife of 56 years, Avelina H. Vega; and his son, Jimmy Vega.
Domingo is survived by his daughters, Mary Ann Ve
ga, Diane Vega Cruz (Richard Proulx), Gloria Vega O’Balle (Anthony); granddauhters, Jessica Diane Cruz and Gabriella Nicole O’Balle; sisters, Julia Quiroz and Rosa Martinez; and brother, Chancho Vega.
The family planned to receive callers at DeLeon Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Catholic Faith will be held at St. Mary’s of the Visitation Catholic Church in Lockhart at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11.
Domingo will be missed by our family. He helped my dad for many years and was a good friend. All of Jesse’s grandchildren adored Domingo. He helped the boys give shots to a calf one morning at the farm and to this day they still talk about it.
