Donald “Buddy” Sauers

Donald Lee “Buddy” Sauers, 78, of Nixon, died July 28, 2010. He was born in Victoria, Texas on, Aug. 1, 1931.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Elsie Marie (Adams) Sauers, and his wife, Bonnie Faye (Moore) Sauers, on July 26, 2010.

Buddy is survived by his daughters, Nancy Stepherson O’Donnell, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Glenda Pompa, of

Goliad; a son, Scott E. Allee, of Karnes City; his step-mother, Cassie Mae Sauers; four siblings: Marilyn Shriver, Lionel R. Sauers and Horace Lloyd Tettleton, all of Corpus Christi, and Gilbert Keys, of Lockhart; seven grandchildren: Michael, Kara, Carol, C.J., Amber, Tyler and Austin; four great-grandchildren: Sierra, Tanner, Aidan, and Evan; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Finch Funeral Chapel, 308 East Third St., Nixon, Texas, with Dr. Robert Price officiating.
