4:12 Kids Back to School Event

Save the date for Saturday, Aug. 1! Local non-profit 4:12 Kids will be helping get kiddos ready to go back to school from 9-11AM at the American Legion Post 41 (1501 N Colorado St) in Lockhart. We will have clothing, shoes, school supplies, backpacks, haircuts, dental kits and more! All FREE! 4:12 Kids provides support for families outside of Lockhart, to include Luling, Gonzalez, Prairie Lea, private schools and home schooled children. No child is turned away as long as we have items to give.

We are currently looking for donations and volunteers for this event as well. Donation buckets can be found at Snap Fitness, Buffalo Clover, Johnny & Sons Paint & Body Shop, Lockhart Sports Therapy and at our office. Items needed include: school supplies, backpacks, clothing, new/gently used children’s tennis shoes, new children’s socks and new underwear. In 2018, 314 children (along with their parents) attended this event. In 2019, we saw over 400 children! This year, we expect 500+ kids and we do not want any to leave without a new pair of sock and shoes and a backpack full of supplies.
