Cold beer and country music on Friday night in Lockhart at The Pearl.
Mark Willenborg writes and sings classic country music – the kind that your grandfather would approve. His music is inspired more by guys named Willie and Merle than anyone named Luke or Blake. He’s been playing and singing this music as long as he can remember, but only started writing his own tunes a few years ago. “It started out as a dare from a buddy… to write a country song. So I did, and I never stopped.” His latest EP, titled “Song Worth Singing” was recorded with the help of some of the best pickers in Texas. It has a decidedly bluegrass feel with a honky tonk heart.
