DESCRIPTION:For the past 30 years “A Dickens’ Christmas in Lockhart” has joyfully welcomed the holiday season to Lockhart! On Friday\, December 6th and Saturday\, December 7th we invite you join the merriment as the Friends of the Library and the City of Lockhart host this cherished family event in Beautiful Downtown Lockhart! Again this year the Friends and the City join the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce as they present the Friday evening dazzling “Night Lighted Christmas Parade”  at and Lockhart downtown businesses will be hosting First Friday to add to the fun! \nThroughout the day on Saturday\, the Library will be brimming with family friendly activities including Father Christmas\, a glass blower\, an ice sculptor\, jugglers and much more. Tasty delights from the food vendors are sure to please kids of all ages as they enjoy the falconer\, a petting zoo\, arts and crafts\, bag pipers and much more. This year to celebrate our 30th anniversary\, we will have a life size Snow Globe! The day ends with the lighting of the traditional Yule Log\, community-wide caroling\, and the Mayor’s Proclamation that Christmas has come to Lockhart! \nFri. Dec. 6 – Parade begins at 7 p.m.; Booths open at 6 p.m. \nSat. Dec. 7  – Booths Open from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 PM; Yule log lighting at 7 p.m.

DESCRIPTION:Come join us (or don’t) for the first and a half annual Worst Christmas Party Ever! \nDJ Island Time AKA Will Rhodes will be spinning some pretty okay music\, and it’s almost guaranteed he will do that thing where he turns it off and makes you sing the chorus to American Pie or something. \nWe will have an amount of the weirdest food ever – Southern Pear Salad\, so come eat some of that or just look at it and say “What?” \nWe will have some pretty medium level decorations and if you wear a bad sweater there’s no contest or anything\, we’ll just say “Wow\, are you trying out for a play or something?” \nSo come on down after the parade and let’s all be the worst together.
