DESCRIPTION:Enjoy the displays & light of the floats from the warmth of your car as you drive alongside the stationary Christmas Parade! Entrance to the Parade Route begins at Main and Prairie Lea Street. \nFor over 30 years\, the Friends of the Dr. Eugene Clark Library\, Lockhart Chamber of Commerce\, and the City of Lockhart have hosted A Dickens’ Christmas in Lockhart. This year finds this beloved event addressing the ongoing impact of COVID-19. The Friends of the Dr. Eugene Clark Library\, Lockhart Chamber of Commerce\, and the City of Lockhart present A Dickens Christmas in Lockhart Lighted REVERSE Parade on Saturday\, December 5th from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. \nWhat is a REVERSE Parade?\nA REVERSE parade is a creative way to hold a socially distanced holiday celebration. In a reverse parade\, the floats and other displays are stationary. Rather than large groups of spectators gathering along city streets\, they will drive by the parade entrants along a designated route and remain safely in their vehicles. \nParade Route: The Parade Route for vehicles will begin on Main Street in front of the Eugene Clark Library. Heading North along Main Street Turn Right on Market Street. Turn-around at the end of the block and head back along Market Street. Turn right on Main Street heading North and ending at the Corner of Main and San Antonio St.\nAdditional entry information can be found on the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce website. \nAn afternoon of virtual Dickens Entertainment! \nVirtual entertainment for A Dickens Christmas in Lockhart will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday\, December 5. Enjoy virtual performances beginning at 10 a.m. including the lighting of our library’s Christmas tree\, music by the Lockhart High School Band\, Storybook Theatre\, routines by the Lockhart Lionettes\, Hawaiian dancers and more!
