Block printing 101: Wrapping paper
Using linocut, a soft linoleum, we’ll walk you through the process of creating your very own custom stamp blocks, from transferring an image to your block, to cutting our your design with linocut tools and finally using block printing inks and techniques to create your very own patterned Wrapping Paper! Ages 13+* Minors must be accompanied by an adult. * Linocutting tools are used for this project – any minors attending must have the supervision of an adult. Lockhart State Park Turkey Trot
Ready, Set….Gobble! Join us for a 1-mile or 5K run/walk to celebrate fall in the park! Don your athletic gear, and come on down to Lockhart State Park! Our Turkey Trot will be a fun run/walk on the park golf course and park trails. There will be two distances to choose from: 1-mile or 5K (3.1 miles), which both start at 9:00am. This event is open to runners and walkers of all speeds and sizes, along with their canine companions (on a leash, please).
