DESCRIPTION:The 32nd Annual “Coats for Kids” Distribution day will be held on Saturday\, December 11th from 9:00 am until 12 noon or we run out of coats. This year the distribution will be taking place at First United MethodistChurch 313 W. San Antonio Street Lockhart\, Texas. Due to us wanting to make sure we do not contribute to this COVID Pandemic\, we will only allow parents or guardians in the building to get coats for their children. It will be a ONE way in and another way out to EXIT. We will be taking temperatures before allowing anyone to enter and getting contact information if we need to contact people. Our goal and mission is simple\, to get coats to all the children that do not have one and need one. If you have questions or need additional information\, you can contact Clint Mohle @ 512-995-8757. \nIf you have gently worn or new coats to donate\, or if you feel the generosity or need to contribute money to this cause\, checks need to be made out to Coats for Kids. Please contact Clint Mohle with questions. We look forward to another successful Coats for Kids and could not do it without the support of many generous people and businesses in this community\, as well as the help of many volunteers. This is truly a mission of love put on by PEOPLE. First Christian Church started this\, but it has eclipsed our church as we have other religions and volunteers that have a tie in because of the love and calling for helping your fellow human beings out. We do not ask for proof or verification of income. We ask if you have a coat\, need a coat\, or is there a way we can help you to stay warm? We do expect or hope people do not try to exploit the situation and get a coat when they do not need one as this might keep someone without a coat from getting one.
