Faith comes from the savior of us all all

Chaplain-Baptist MinisterFaithful… Faithful was the word that became stronger, more weighted in my mind as I stood in the night, captured by the beauty of the cosmos. The stars shining down so brightly, brought memories of many such evenings. From the times of my childhood to late night walks with my wife, the glow of the stars has fascinated me. 

This evening, as I stand under the stars, head raised, arms lifted, I find myself unable to contain my thankfulness for all Christ has done for me. And as the crickets, tree frogs and night birds sing praises, I join in their chorus. For how can I stand within this awesome choir, seeing the beauty of the starry sky, hearing the songs of the night and keep my praise contained. I long for times spent before The Lord alone.

I have found that my decisions are better concluded, when I am walking in the will of My Father. For His will is the path that brings me to His side. 

Across human history, God has spoken to His chosen under the stars. His plans revealed, His promises given, His faithfulness proven. 

The Patriarch of Faith, Abraham, called unto a foreign land, standing before The Lord, was shown the uncountable stars in the heavens and was promised his descendants would be as numerous. At the time, Abraham was old, his wife was old, and they had no children. Yet God, when He makes a promise is faithful to carry it out by His own Sovereignty. To them in their old age a son was born, his name was Isaac.

I stand before the starry hosts of Heaven knowing that God’s promise to Abraham is being fulfilled. The world has been and is blessed by God’s promise to this Patriarch.

So in the night we see the glory and the promise of creation, yet creation pales in comparison to the Glory of the promise of God in Christ. Who with His blood and life sacrifice, made a way for all to possess the promises given in Love. 

It is this very sacrifice by Jesus that paves the pathway for you my friend to join the Family of Christ. Yahweh’s family is massive, with members all over the world. It is a family with many different backgrounds, many different cultures, many different languages, but with only one citizenship, only one Head of Family, only one language of love.

Temporarily in this age, God has allowed man to set up governments to direct affairs. He has allowed the nations of men to struggle, to rise and fall. But make no mistake, God expects His family to take their direction from the Throne of Heaven. 

When men place their faith in other men to direct the paths of peace, conflict will always be the fruit. When men depend on other men for daily substance, hunger follows closely behind. When the hope for tomorrow is shown through the filthy lens of worldly corruption, darkness’s weight is unbearable. When it becomes entertaining to watch the downfall of others, we have lost focus. 

Time of temporal peace may be enjoyed by some, yet across the globe God’s chosen, our brothers and sisters are under the heavy hand of oppression. Too long have we basked in the warmth of freedom, forgetting the tyranny that drove our ancestors from their lands. Many believers spend their time looking at the spec in the eyes of those around them. Forgetting the depth of forgiveness poured upon them. It is a distraction of the world, to keep them from sharing the truth of The Love of Jesus Christ. God’s enemies will not rest as long as there are Bible believing faith filled brothers and sisters standing with The Truth of The Gospel on their lips and in their hearts.

Our call as Children of The Most High God is to see beyond the empty promises of a world going to hell. To stand justly, righteously, without judgment, yet judging all things by The Holy Spirit. Inviting in love, all to join the Kingdom. And I mean ALL!

The Scripture says “For God so loved you that he gave His one and only son, that if you would believe in Him, He would give you life… Life Eternal.”

Under the stars of heaven, there is only one who can give you what your heart longs for.

Under the stars of heaven, there is only one who can wash away your hurt.

Under the stars of heaven, there is only one name unto life.

It is The Name above all other names. It is The Name sung in realms of Glory.

It is The Name of our Savior, Jesus the Christ!

I am encouraged and strengthened as I look upon the heavens knowing my prayers are multiplied by millions of brothers and sisters across the globe. The Faithfulness of God proven, as spoken to Abraham. What is God speaking to you?
