Jerry Lynn Roland
Jerry Lynn Roland passed away unexpectedly on August 2, 2025. He was born in Lockhart, Texas, the fourth child to William C. and Nell Roland on October 12, 1964.
Jerry accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at St. James A.M.E.
Although not formally trained, Jerry was known to be an extremely skilled carpenter. Whatever a client could imagine, Jerry could sketch, measure, cut, and construct through his detailed mind’s eye. Later in life, Jerry changed career paths and earned his CDL (commercial driver’s license). Jerry had a love of cars, any and all, especially fast ones! If a car wasn’t fast, Jerry would push it to the limits until it was.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Charles A. Roland and Garland D. Roland. Jerry is survived by his brother Jason Roland and his wife (Maria) Stephanie of San Marcos, TX, sister; Elaine Roland of Lockhart, TX, niece Shalaina Walker and her husband Dennis of Lockhart, TX, and great niece Rakaia Walker of Lockhart, TX.
He also leaves to mourn many cousins and countless friends
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 5-7PM, at McCurdy Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 10AM, at McCurdy Funeral Home.
