Katherine Brawley
Katherine Hunter Brawley, 71, of Kyle, Texas, passed away on Sept. 16, 2015. She was born on Nov. 21, 1943, in Luling, Texas to Norman A. and Ella Mae Hunter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Claude Hunter, Sr., and Norman Hunter, Jr.; and her sister, Dorothy J. Thompson.
She is survived by her two sons, Gregory Brawley and Anthony Brawley; her daughter
, Shelia Brawley; and her brother, Lloyd Hunter, Sr.
Family received friends at McCurdy Funeral Home from 2 – 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, 2015. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at McCurdy Funeral Home with Rev. Fritz Williams officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Kingsbury.

My deepest condolences goes out to Mrs. Brawley family. Gregory I’m so sorry for your loss. I remember when we all worked at the prison in Lockhart, Texas. She was so sweet, always treated everyone as they was her child. She always took good care of herself. She will be missed.
Our prayers and condolences for Mrs. Brawley. I loved this lady like my own grandmother. It is with a heavy heart I am sad to see her go. We will miss her and she will never be forgotten. I ask GOd to wrap this beautiful family in his arms and guide them with comfort and help them understand she is happy and doing well from Heaven.
