The Lockhart High School Lionettes are hard at work during the summer and continue to keep their routines sharp by practicing as a team and individually.
The Lionettes can be found in the old LHS gym this week, as they hold their summer camp from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday – Friday, June 23-27.
Recently, the Lionette Office
rs attended the H.T.E. Dance Officers Training Camp in Sugar Land from June 17-20.
Participating in the camp were dance officers: Colonel Tenille Jones, Lieutenant Colonel Veronica Villegas, Major Mallory Reynolds, Captain Sarah Russell, Lieutenant Merissa Horton and Social Officers Jessica Hollingworth and T. J. Minter.
The officers earned an “Outstanding Choreography” award for their choreography project and the staff award for “Most Spirited” after having demonstrated the most spirit throughout the camp.
Jones earned a spot in the Kick Academy team, while Russell and Horton earned spots in the H.T.E. Dance Academy team.
Both the dance officers and social officers did an outstanding job performing and representing LHS and the Lockhart Lions.
The LHS Lionettes are under the direction of Shannon Voigt.
