Lions host Ft. Worth, Sweetwater teams at Lion Classic

The Varsity Lions will host the Annual Lion Baseball Classic at Lion Field from Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 26-28.

Tournament play began at 9 a.m. on Thursday and will continue until a winner is declared.

Teams from St. Stephen’s, St. Michael’s, Lehman, Shiner, Sweetwater, LBJ and Fort Worth will participate.

e Lions will begin pool games on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. and Friday, Feb 27 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

There will be six games played on Thursday and six on Friday, followed by four on Saturday. The tournament championship game will be at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Saturday’s play will be determined after teams are seeded once pool play is over.

“This will be an excellent opportunity for the community to come out and support our Lockhart Lion Baseball program,” Lion Booster parent Melissa Flores said. “We will also have a full concession and tournament shirts available. Please come out and support our Lions.”
