LEANDER — The Lockhart Lions boys basketball team closed out their season Tuesday night with a tough, 78-40, loss on the road against Leander Glenn.

Glenn put together one of its most complete performances of the year, shooting the ball exceptionally well. Meanwhile, the Lions struggled to find their rhythm in what was an off night to finish the season.
Lockhart finished with an overall record of 18-17, marking the program’s first winning season in six years and only the second in the last 20 years.
“This season, we have grown a lot,” said Lockhart Head Coach Collin Hart. “We’ve proven that we can compete with anyone in our district and surrounding area. I’m very excited for the future of Lockhart basketball. We’ve continued to make strides in the right direction, and now our focus shifts to having a strong offseason as we prepare for next year.”
Hart also expressed gratitude to the Lockhart community for its support throughout the season.

“I want to thank our families, our coaching staff, and the entire community for standing behind us,” Hart said. “We wouldn’t have been able to do this without them. To our seniors, thank you for all of your effort and hard work in our program the last four years. You have all been key players in our program, and you will be missed next year.”
