Martindale was the host for the 100th anniversary of the Model T. This 1924 Model T roadster (at left) is owned by Joe Pinnelli. The event was held on Main Street Saturday from 12-4 p.m. The 1923 Model-T one-ton flatbed truck, also known as TT, has lived in a barn in downtown Martindale since it was acquired and restored by long-time Austin contractor and frequent Martindale visitor Pinnelli in 2007. Ford Motor Company’s Model Ts were the first mass-produced automobiles in the United States, the vehicle that put Americans on wheels in the early 20th century. Photo by Anthony Collins
