Merritt Lamb, 90, of Lockhart, passed away October 9, 2004 in Austin, Texas. He was born on December 12, 1913 in Lockhart, Texas to Robert and Annie (Bowden) Lamb.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ione McCurdy Lamb on April 21, 2001; 2 brothers, Ray Lamb and Bob Lamb.

He is survived by family members, Anne Lamb, Jean and Sa

ndy Benson, Elliott Lee McCurdy, Carol Reed, Kay, Sarah and Drew Arnold.

Merritt Lamb was the owner of McCurdy Funeral Home. Upon his marriage on October 17, 1942 to Ione McCurdy, he entered into the family business in 1947 until 1978.

Services were held privately for the family at the Lockhart City Cemetery, Rev. Gary Rodgers officiated.
