Mike Rodriguez, III

Mike Rodriguez, III, of Maxwell, passed away Jan. 16, 2006, in San Marcos, Texas, at the age of 35. He was born Jan. 10, 1971, in Weslaco, Texas, to Margarita Trevino and Juan Rodriguez, Jr.
Mike took great joy in the outdoors, watching all of God”s great creations. He loved planting fruits and vegetables, tending to them as they grew. He looked forward every year to b

eing involved in harvesting pecans, as well as delivering planting seed to the local farmers. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family on the San Marcos River. Discussing with them all the beauty he saw around him.
He will be remembered by many for the kindness and goodness of his heart. For his easy manner and lack to anger. An extending hand, to help any and all, and his face, always, with a neverending smile.
Mike is survived by his wife Linda Baltierra Lambardo, of Maxwell; daughter, Santa Rodriguez, of Weslaco; sons, Alejandro Rodriguez, Damien Rodriguez, Diego Rodriguez, all of Weslaco, Miguel Rodriguez and Antonio Rodriguez, of Maxwell; father, Juan Rodriguez, Jr. and his wife Maggie, of Weslaco; sisters, Michelle Martinez of South Bend, Ind., and Emily Rodriguez of Weslaco; brothers, Rico, John Michael and Dylan Rodriguez all of Weslaco; and paternal grandmother, Isabel Rodriguez, of Weslaco.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother Margarita and brother Casey Rodriguez.
Recitation of the rosary was at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006 at DeLeon Funeral Home. Funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 20 at St. Mary”s Catholic Church, followed by burial at San Juan Cemetery in Reedville.
Serving as pallbearers were, Daniel Baltierra, James DeLeon, Marshall Kelly, Tony Martinez, Eddie Rodriguez and Rudy Rodriguez.
