Morgan C. Schuerg
Morgan C. “Shorty” Schuerg, 87, of Knippa, Texas, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011. He was born April 23, 1924, to Albert and Paula Schaefer Schuerg in Lockhart, Texas.
Morgan married Dorothy Cochran Schuerg on Aug. 20, 1945, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 3, 2002 in Knippa, Texas.
Morgan was also preceded in death by his parents; Brothers, Herman Schuerg,
of Lockhart, and William “Bill” Schuerg, of Lake Wylie, S.C.; and sisters, Helen Schuerg Evans and Doris Schuerg Pittman, both of Lockhart, Texas.
Morgan is survived by his only Brother, Alvin “Al” Schuerg and wife, Joyce, of Seguin, Texas.
Morgan worked many years at the Sonny Kline Farms in Knippa training racehorses as a jockey. He was even in a TV commercial many years ago for Falstaff Beer. He was a quiet gentle man and had many friends in the Knippa – Uvalde area.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at the Knippa Cemetery with Paul Stephens officiating.

I never saw Uncle Morgan much,as a child but loved the stories Daddy told of when they were kids. Granny really had her hands full. I last saw Morgan when Granny died. When asked when he was going to retire, he said he could’t, if he ever sat down for long old arthritis would catch up to him. He can rest easy now.
