Mr. Joseph Torres, 61, of Dale, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2004. Recitation of the rosary was at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2004. Funeral mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2004 at St. Mary‚s Catholic Church. Burial followed in Bunton Cemetery in Dale.

Mr. Torres was preceded in death by his mother, Louisa H. Torres.<

He is survived by his wife, Vera Torres, daughters, Christina Torres, Kamie Torres, all of Dale, son, John Castillo, of Del Valle, father, Joe B. Torres, sisters, Henrietta Robledo and husband, Tony, Annabelle Torres, brothers, Chester Torres and wife, Anita, Tony Torres and wife, Rebecca, Richard Torres and wife, Beatrice, all of Austin. 3 grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Rick Torres, Orlando Torres, Alexander Torres, Tony Torres, Rocky Rios, and Joe Luis Ruiz.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were Chester Torres and Joe B. Torres.
