Nellie A. Watts
Nellie A. Williams Watts, 70, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at her home in Luling. She was born on July 11, 1938, in Austin, to Isaac Parm Williams and Mary Elizabeth Tinney Williams.
She married Eli Preston Watts, Jr., on Oct. 22, 1955 in Luling. She had worked as a caregiver at Warm Springs Children’s Hospital, caring for the children in many ways. She was
a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Watts, of Luling, son and daughter-in-law, Curtis Preston and Kathy Watts, of Lockhart; sister, Mary Faye Seiler, of Luling; brother and sister-in-law, James R. and Carol Williams, of Gonzales; grandchildren: Preston Hoff, Jamie Adams and Brice Watts; great-grandchild, Quinton Watts; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother, Preston Williams.
The family received friends on Wednesday evening, Feb. 11, 2009, from 5 – 7 p.m. at O’Bannon Funeral Home in Luling. Funeral services were held on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, in Central Baptist Church in Luling, with Rev. Lynn Wilson officiating. Burial followed in Hall Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers were: Joe Capello, Mark Westerholm, Steve Spivey, Shelby Reimers, Oscar Schulle and Wayne Smith.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Clear Fork Baptist Church or Hall Cemetery.
