Philip Allen

Philip Allen, 52, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006. He was born on June 24, 1954, in Lockhart to Charles and Betty (Taylor) Allen.
Philip was a self-employed contractor and worked in residential construction. He was formerly a member of the Lockhart Chamber of Commerce and had currently been a member of the New Braunfels Chamber of Commer

ce. He attended Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels.
He is survived by his significant other Kathleen Schindler of New Braunfels; his parents, Charles and Betty Allen of Taylorsville; his children, Brazos Allen and his wife Allison of Bastrop, Blaine Allen of San Antonio, and step-son, Luke Bohot of San Marcos; two brothers, Vincent Mark Allen and wife Ulonda of Taylorsville and Matthew Allen and wife Audra of Manor; one sister, Penny Smith and husband Terrance of Franklinville, NY; his grandchildren, Zane Allen, Bryan Allen, Aubrey Schindler, Tristan Acuna; many other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation was held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at McCurdy Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, in the McCurdy Memorial Chapel with Rev. Leo Miller officiating. Interment followed at 4 p.m. in Watterson Cemetery in Bastrop County.
