Lockhart junior varsity powerlifters finished fifth in an eight-team field at the Navarro meet in Geronimo on Jan. 31.

With bricks
The Lockhart Athletic Booster Club is in the midst of its brick sale fundraiser. The club is selling bricks, each with the names of Lockhart High alumni, to be will be forever encased in mortar in the ground near the entrance to Lions Field.
One brick is $75, two are $60 each, with three or more bricks at $50 each. Alums are urged to please help immortalize their names and those of their families. NAYS tourney
Needing players
The North American Youth Sports will stage a youth basketball tournament at Austin Crockett High School April 16-18. The affair will include 10 divisions; grades 5-6 boys and girls through boys and girls in grades 11-12. Each team is guaranteed at least two games.
