Ruby Joyce Woodworth
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ruby Joyce “Sissie” Woodworth, 72, of Dale, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, April 30, 2011, with family and friends at her side.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1938, in Austin, Texas, and lived around the Austin area her entire life. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, quilting, and
being a puzzle master.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Ruby Sites, and Charley and Cleo White; brother, Ricky White; and great-grandchild Graysen Austin Vinson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Jackie Wade Woodworth; three sons, Jackie Wayne Woodworth and wife, Vickie, Gilbert Ray Woodworth and Roger Dale Woodworth; two daughters, Wanda Joyce Carlisle-Selby and husband, Kim, and Nora Ilene Allen and husband, Gary; two brothers, Charley Ray White and wife, Betty, and Jimmy White; two sisters, Lana Kemker and husband, Rick, and Euna Kilbert; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two very special uncles, Gilbert Cantwell and Donnie Vollmering and wife, Diane; brothers-in-law, Jerry Lynn Woodworth and wife, Judy, Joe Lee Woodworth and wife, Loma, and Art Woodworth; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
And last but not least, her co-workers Debbie, Phyllis, Ann, Wanda, Mike, Chuck, Craig, Kevin, Shawn, Steven, Cheryl and the many others at Travis County Records Management that “Momma Ruby” truly adored.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Jackie Woodworth, Jr., Dennis Woodworth, Christopher Woodworth, Casey Carlisle, Kamron Selby, Brandon Allen, Bryce Allen, Jimmy Guerrero, Michael Kelly, David Andrews and Jason Maddox.
Visitation was held on Tuesday May 3, 2011, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Ave., Austin, Texas, 78704.
Funeral services were held Wednesday May 4, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home followed by burial at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery in Cedar Creek, Texas.
