Sara O. Perales

Sara O. Perales, 100, of Luling, passed away on Jan. 2, 2013, in Luling.

Born in Mexico to Catarino Oballe and Dominga Contreras, she married Fortino Perales on Feb. 10, 1947, in Gonzales, Texas. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1960.

Mrs. Perales is survived by her daughters: Mary J. Maloney, of Lockhart, Frances Reyna, of Luling, Carolina Palacios, of Lockh

art, Rose M. Chirino, of Humble, Texas, and Margaret Carranza, of Luling; sons: Martin M. Perales, of Gonzales, Antonio Perales, of Lockhart, and Joe L. Perales and Emilio Gonzales, both of Luling; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, one brother, and three grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Perales were held at O’Bannon Funeral Home, in Luling, on Jan. 5, 2013, with Rev. Allen Davis officiating. Burial followed in Community Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Jacob Palacios, III, Martin Anthony Palacios, Joshua Carranza, Robert Garcia, Jr., Luis Maloney, III, and Jason Maloney. Honorary pallbearer was Jacob Palacios, II.
