The Lockhart Police Department is still searching for leads in an armed robbery that occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning, Sept. 6.
According to Lockhart Chief of Police Mike Lummus, three suspects entered the Korner Bar, at the corner of Blackjack and Commerce Streets at closing time, just after
midnight, last Thursday, and committed an armed robbery.
Two witnesses, he said, were leaving the building at the time the suspects entered. The suspects brandished a handgun, demanding cash, and then closed the witnesses in a walk-in cooler. No one was injured during the commission of the crime.
Lummus said the suspects left the premises with an undisclosed amount of cash, and are still at large.
He described the suspects as three African-American males in their early- to mid-20s. He did not make reference to any identifying marks.
The case remains under investigation, and Lummus encourages anyone who may have information to contact the Lockhart Police Department at (512) 398-4401.
