T.C. Haddock
Mr. T. C. Haddock, 85, of Lockhart, Texas passed away peacefully at his residence at West Prairie Lea Street on March 13, 2007. He was born in McLennan County, Texas to Alva and Jessie Preston Haddock on January 25, 1922. Mr. Haddock was a veteran and served in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Lockhart, Texas beginning in 1956 until 1995.
He enjoyed the “outdoor life” which included raising cattle, fishing, hunting, and the “indoor” life of spending time with his family. T. C. also was known to enjoy a good poker game with his buddies. He was an active member of the Lockhart Lodge 690 AF & AM and the American Legion H.T. Rainey Post #41.
Mr. Haddock is survived by his wife Bobbie of Lockhart; children Ronnie and wife Kris Haddock of Lytton Springs, Kathy and husband Dan Roberts of Austin, Danny and wife Mary Haddock of Lytton Springs, and daughter-in-law Joyce Haddock of Lockhart; grandchildren, Michelle and Brian Haddock, Lori and Bryan Barlow, Chris and Christi Townsend, Devvon Gardner, Jessie Howard, Travis and Casey Haddock, and Meranda Ivey; and great-grandchildren, Joshua Haddock, Matthew Barlow, Austin Adams, Emily Barlow, Amy Barlow, Lauren Townsend, Gia Gardner and Justin Dean Haddock.
Mr. Haddock was preceded in death by his son, Allen Haddock, on April 9, 2004.
A visitation was held at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel in Lockhart, where friends called Friday, March 16, from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. The family was present from 6 – 8 p.m. to receive family members and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Haddock were held on Saturday, March 17, at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Lockhart with the Reverend Bob Hahn officiating. Serving as the pallbearers were: Brian Haddock, Bryan Barlow, Chris Townsend, Travis Haddock, Marty Bozarth and Domingo Vega. Interment followed at the Lockhart City Cemetery.
