Thelma Neumann
Thelma Emma Neumann, of Lockhart, went home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, in Seton Hays Hospital, Kyle, Texas with family by her side.
Thelma was born Dec. 18, 1925, in Maxwell to Willie and Meta Siefert Homann. After World War II she married Alvin Neumann, of Seguin, on Nov. 9, 1946.They settled in the Lockhart, Texas area. They were members of St. Pau
l United Church of Christ. She later became a regular at Grace Lutheran Church in Lockhart.
She is survived by daughter Joyce Yvonne Hoffman and husband, Bill, of Austin, son David, of Lockhart, two grandchildren, Bradley and wife, Barbara, of Corpus Christi and Jeanette Walker, and husband, Michael, of LaMesa, Calif, honorary granddaughter Heather McKenna, of Austin, great-grandchildren Wes Walker, of LaMesa, Samantha, Ashley and Jacob Knapp, of Corpus Christi, and honorary great-grandchildren Scott Cap, of San Marcos, and Zane McKenna, of Austin, sisters Ella Townes, of Lockhart, Ruby White and husband, Marlon, of Bastrop, and Alice Herzog of Austin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin, two brothers, Eric Homann, of Austin, and Louis Homann, of Lockhart, and two sisters, Alma Rust, of New Braunfels, and Wilma Helmke of Lockhart.
Visitation was held from 3 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at McCurdy Funeral Home.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart with Pastor Bryan Dziadik-Willingham officiating. Burial followed at Memory Lawn Memorial Park, Martindale.
