Theresa Z. Morrison

Theresa Zaruba Morrison, 86, of Austin and formerly of Lockhart, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009. She was born on June 13, 1923 in Louise, Texas, to Jon and Annie Zaruba.

Theresa married the love of her life, Billie Morrison on June 20, 1942 in Wharton County, Texas. She was raised on a farm where she grew to love animals and gardening, she especi

ally loved to cook, no one could go to her home without being fed. Theresa loved to help anyone who would accept it. Theresa will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Theresa is preceded in death by a son, Billy Wayne Morrison and eight siblings.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Billie Morrison; sons, Jerry Morrison and wife, Karen, and Clyde Morrison and wife, Betty; grandchildren: Jeannie Boyd and husband, Matthew, Jerry Morrison, II, and wife, Kimberly, and Jared Morrison and wife, Nelly; great-grandchildren: Najaia, Coyette, Jacob, Zoey, Jason and Joseph; siblings: Isadore Zaruba and wife, Polly, and Alvin Zaruba and wife, Evaughn; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, from 6 – 8 p.m. with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W. William Cannon Dr.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Rd. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
