Ken was in an unfortunate automobile accident on April 14, 2008.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Strickland; daughters, Samantha and Tammy Strickland; son, Thomas Strickland; stepdaughter and husband, Angela and James Carter; stepson and wife, Robert and Holly Toungate; and grandchildren, Shelby and Brandon Carter.
Ken served in the U.S. Army, complet

ing a tour in Vietnam. For the past nine years he has been a devoted employee at Southwestern University as Shop Manager of the Fondren-Jones Science Hall.
He has been a long-time Georgetown resident and leaves behind many friends and family. Ken never knew a stranger, and was always willing to help anyone.
The family received friends on Thursday, April 17, and the funeral service was held on Friday, April 18, 2008, at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. A brief graveside service was held at Jeffrey Cemetery, McMahan, Texas.
“We look not at what can be seen, but at what cannot be seen; For what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is Eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18.
