The Caldwell County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited is proud to announce its upcoming Fourth Annual Banquet on April 1, 2005, at the Maxwell Social Club.
The ticket prices are $45 per person or $65 per couple. Sponsor tables are available. The ticket includes dinner and drinks and a one-year membership to Ducks Unlimited, one of the leading conservation organizations in t

he world. The doors will open at 6 p.m., dinner will be served at 7 p.m. and the live auction will begin at 8 p.m. Dinner this year will included boiled shrimp, frog legs, catfish and much more.
There will be a live auction with firearms, beautiful artwork and hunting/fishing trips. At the banquet, there will also be a silent auction, countless door prizes, a bucket raffle with over 25 items and several specialty raffles.
The highly popular “Ice Chest Raffle” is back for its third straight year. Last year it sold out in less than 45 minutes. The “Deer Hunter Package” raffle returns and includes a deer blind, tripod deer feeder and other goodies for the deer hunter. New this year is the “Chance of a Lifetime Raffle” for a Lifetime Texas Hunting and Fishing License.
Also new this year is an “Early Gun Raffle.” Only 500 tickets are being sold at $10 each or 3 for $20 for the chance at one of five firearms. Committee members are out selling the tickets now and they are going fast. There are two deer rifles, two shotguns and a pistol in this raffle, and winners do not need to be present to win. The guns are available for viewing at Royal”s Antiques at 401 S. Commerce in Lockhart.
In its previous three years, the Caldwell County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited has helped raise close to $50,000 for wildlife and wetland conservation. Since its creation in 1937, Ducks Unlimited has helped conserve over 11 million acres of critical habitat in North America.
Seating is limited, so tickets should be purchased as soon as possible. For tickets to the banquet or the “Early Gun Raffle” go by Royal”s Antiques, the Lockhart Antique Emporium or call 398-4322 or 376-7225.
