Our mother, Etta Ezell Hilton, joined Daddy in Heaven on Feb. 19, 2014.
Everyone will remember Etta for her quick wit and the twinkle in her eyes.
Etta was born on Dec. 31, 1919, in Lisman, Ala. After high school, she graduated from nursing school in Natchez, Miss.
She married Bill Hilton on March 24, 1945. After living a short while in Bastrop, Texas, they moved to Lockhart, where they made their home and raised their four daughters. She lived the last year and a half in San Angelo, Texas.
Etta is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Hilton, and son-in-law, Harvey Reeves.
She is survived by her daughters, Nora Buswell and her husband, Rick, Nan Reeves, Linda Hilton and Melissa Hilton. Other survivors are her grandchildren, Monica Irwin, Mandy Shirley, Bradley Reeves, Ryan Reeves, Hillary Wysong, Audrey Brown and seven great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be in the Lockhart City Cemetery at 1:30 on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014.
