8th Grade A Lions battling for district crown

Lockhart Junior High swept a pair of 8^th grade football games last week against Goodnight Middle School, while the San Marcos program did likewise in the 7^th grade games.

The 8^th Grade A Lions shutout Goodnight, 42-0, and play at La Vernia for the District Championship on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

La Verna won the earlier battle of the two school.

The 8^th Grade B Lions beat Goodnight, 20-0, and will host Goodnight again Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Third Place Game.

Goodnight won the 7^th Grade A game, 28-6, over Lockhart, as well as the 7^th Grade B game, 22-0.

Lockhart will host Seguin Barnes in the 5^th Place Game on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
