Linda Mae Meador Lucksinger went to join her heavenly father on July 4, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.  To know Linda was to love her and she will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
Linda was born on July 24, 1942, to Alvin W. Meador and Julia (Judy) Allen Meador in Smithville, Texas.  They moved to Austin when Linda was three and she lived here

most of her life. Linda was previously married to Billy Browning and was blessed with two sons: Tommy Browning (Lisa), Brett Browning, and one daughter, Anissa Browning Roddy (Keith).  Linda worked for the State for about three years but the rest of her career was with AISD in the Purchasing Department.  On Oct. 25, 1997, Linda married Paul Lucksinger and loved to say she “saved the best for last.”  They were happily married 18 years and eight months.
Paul has two grown daughters from his first marriage, Cindy Crouch (Harlan) and Sandra Faske (Marcus).  Linda and Paul lived in Lytton Springs, Texas, and Linda found she loved living on a ranch with Paul.  She also learned to love Paul’s girls and their families like her own.  She was always bragging about her “adopted” girls and grandchildren and liked to say her family and Paul’s were just one big family.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother and father.
She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law; her daughter and son-in-law; three grandchildren: Barrett Browning, Zane Browning and Chelsea Browning Dallas; and one great-grandchild, Braden Browning.  She is also survived by her sister, Barbara
“Bobbi” Garrett and brother-in-law, Nelson Garrett, and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and –nephews; as well as a very special aunt, Brenda Camp, and cousin, Billie Null.
If you were lucky enough to know Linda, you had to love her; proven by the stream of people that have passed through her door since they found out she was ill.  Linda was a happy, friendly lady that never met a stranger.  She was full of love and gave love to all she knew.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at McCurdy Funeral Home, 105 E. Pecan Street, Lockhart, Texas.  Funeral services celebrating Linda’s life will be held at Lytton Springs Baptist Church, 8511 FM 1854, on Friday, July 8, 2016, at 2 p.m., with interment following at Lytton Springs Cemetery on Memorial Drive.  Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Barrett and Zane Browning, Cody Dallas, Ben Faske, Brad Barber and Wess Bunton.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Pernicka, Steve Gifford, and Rick Armstrong.
We would like to thank Hospice of Austin, Jacque Shnoyer, her Hospice Nurse and Cheryl Meador, her Hospice Aide, for their dedicated care of Linda during her home bound days.  We would also like to thank Pastor Bud Cheatham for the love and devotion he gave to Linda during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Lytton Springs Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
