Lockhart reboots search for Vance Rodgers’ successor

The city of Lockhart will begin a new search for its next city manager after being unable to complete a deal with any of the four finalists gleaned from the selection process.
On Tuesday night, the Lockhart City Council went into executive session to discuss a contract with one of the finalists, whose identity was not disclosed. Following an executive session that wrapped around 11 p.m. Tuesday, council voted to continue contract negotiations with candidates in the final pool.
That changed Wednesday morning, when Mayor Lew White said the city would start the search over.
