Mr. Francisco Martinez, 89, of Lockhart, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2004.
Recitation of the rosary was 7:00 p.m. Friday at the DeLeon Funeral Home. Funeral mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Ceme

Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Maria Martinez, of Lockhart, daughters: Herminia Ebaben, of San Antonio, Rosa Martinez, of San Marcos, Ignacia Barron, of San Antonio, Mary Martinez, of Lockhart, Janie Rogers, of Sterling Heights, Mich., Lyla Holmes, of Austin, Lupe Maciel, of Kyle, Vera Zapata, of Lockhart, Rosalee Young, of Oxford, Mich., sons: Domingo Martinez, Joe Martinez, Tomas Martinez, Jesse Martinez, all of Lockhart. 27 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Edward Martinez, Gilbert Martinez, Jesse Frank Barron, Joe L. Martinez, Geoffrey Aleshire, and Charles Holmes.

Honorary pallbearers were Antonio Silva, Fabian Martinez, Joseph Maciel, and Jonathan Zapata.
