There were four different games going on in Lockhart on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The Lions hosted baseball, softball, soccer and basketball games, so it was a busy night for Lion sports fans.
With basketball season over and soccer well under way, it is on to baseball and softball to keep Tuesday and Friday nights exciting for folks w
ho have been diligent about getting out of the house and away from prime time television.
So far, the Lions have participated in a few scrimmage games against Marble Falls, Austin Crockett and Luling. It has been a bit more difficult to get access to the Softball field so information on their progress is sparse.
The attendance at the baseball scrimmage games has been promising. It could be the crowd looks bigger, bunched up in the small bleachers wrapped around home plate at Lion Field. The soccer fans tend to spread out all over the stands at Lion Stadium.
In any case, baseball and softball season is here. If the fans keep coming out to support the Lions and Lady Lions at their home games, chances are there will be plenty of game to be won.
See you at the games.
