Brandon Dray Kenney

Brandon Dray Kenney, 16, of Lockhart passed away on June 3, 2008. Brandon Dray was born on April 3, 1992, to Patrick Kenney and Rayleen Holstine Kenney in San Marcos, Texas. Brandon was an A-B Honor Roll student at Lockhart ISD. Brandon played many years in the Lockhart youth sports programs, where he played baseball and football. Brandon was an avid outdoorsman and a membe

r of the National Marine Fisheries Service for shark conservation.
He loved to fish, hunt, camp, and swim. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and listening to music of all kinds.
Brandon was a very talented, resourceful and adventurous young man who was totally committed to his passions in life.
Brandon was a sincere, loving brother, son, and grandson who will be deeply missed.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Rayburn L. Holstine and William H. Kenney.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Rayleen, and stepfather, Russell Putman, of Lockhart; father, Patrick Kenney, of Lockhart; grandmothers, Gloria Holstine, of Dale, and Leona Kenney, of Lockhart; brother, Levi Putman, of Austin; three sisters, Ashlee Kenney and Skyler Putman, of Lockhart, and Jamie Kenney, of Lytton Springs; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation was held on Friday, June 6, from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Russel Matthews officiating. Graveside services followed at the Bunton Cemetery in Dale.
Serving as pallbearers were Wayne Kenney, Adam Holstine, Ernest Kenney, Ralph Holstine, Ben Tello and Chris Roberts.
