Clifton Baze Cavaness, 71, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015, after a lengthy illness.
Clifton was born Sept. 23, 1943, in Mason, Texas to Baze and Grace Cavaness. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Andrews; son, Craig Cavanes; and daughter, Wendy Cavaness Clemon.
He leaves behind his spouse, Shirley Cavaness; son, Guy Krenz and wife, Patricia, daughter,

Tina and husband, Pete Morales; son, Tom Krenz and wife, Lezlie, all of Lockhart; grandchildren: Tracie, Jessica, Emily (Lee), Abraham (Yuri), Joshua, Anne Marie, Christopher,  Zachary, Adam, McKade, Shamaury, Robert, Kallie Sue and Stephanie; and great-grandchildren: Abraham, Ivan, Cheyanne and Evan.
He is also survived by his sister, Louise Guerish and husband, Junior; brother, Larry and wife, Pam, of Mason; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Faye Gibbs; brother-in-law, Kevin Andrews; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Clifton was a truck driver for many years with Roadway Motor Freight and was an active member of the Caldwell County Fair Association and 4-H.  He loved to fish, hunt and go camping with his family.
He will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.
The family will receive callers on Thursday, April 23, from 6 – 8 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home in Lockhart. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015, at noon at McCurdy Funeral Home. Interment will follow to the Lockhart City Cemetery.
